The main technique covered in this course is a technique used by the Haute Couture fashion houses in Paris called Tambour Beading or the Luneville Technique. It uses a tambour hook and a frame to create intricate beadwork & embroidery.

This course will give you a solid foundation in tambour beading and embellishment, its broken down into bite size chunks with 2 mini projects to complete at the end. The key topics taught are framing up the silk organza, basic chain stitch, applying seed beads, bugle beads, cup and flat sequins, incorporating different threads, ari technique, pulling stitch, pyramids, contemporary beadwork as well as lots of top tips to accelerate your skills in this field. At any time flick back to any lesson to recap on methods as many times needed. This is a lifetime access to the course, forum and closed facebook group. You’ll also have access to live webinars throughout the year with Charlotte Appleby for expert advice and stay on track. The time taken to finish this course from start to finish will vary depending on your ability, but plenty of practice is needed before tackling the major project at the end.
